Pregnancy care
KPMC obstetricians provide pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care. Delivery rooms are on Level 2, with a nursery and Patient Admission Centre for urgent obstetric cases.
Overview
Antenatal visits track the health of mother and baby. Plans for birth are discussed with the obstetrician. A published maternity package is available; confirm current inclusions with the hospital.
Common symptoms
- Missed period or a positive pregnancy test
- Nausea, breast tenderness or fatigue
- Reduced fetal movements later in pregnancy
- Bleeding, severe headache or swelling — seek care promptly
Possible causes
