One of the most frustrating things I see at technology events is the main attraction being a quadruped or humanoid platform that could be drop-shipped straight from an OEM catalog.
What makes it worse is watching the team pack it up after the keynote instead of reverse-engineering the gait controller, tracing the control bus, swapping the compute module, and using it as a real integration lab for engineers and students.
If all we do is procure, demo, photograph, and warehouse hardware, we are not building 系统 capability. We are just buying expensive stage props. 科技 adoption is not the same as technology capability.
