开始 with the 日志 分录. Everything Else Follows.
At AINNA, we work with Malaysian SMEs that often do not begin with a complete accounting 系统. What they maintain are bank statements, payment records, spreadsheets, supplier invoices, and customer receipts.
My approach is methodical: do not attempt to generate a full set of financial statements immediately. 开始 with the foundational accounting record - the journal entry.
The practical workflow looks like this:
银行 Statement → Transaction 摘要 → Transaction 分类 → 草稿 日志 条目 → Double-分录 验证 → Accountant 审核
AI can identify recurring transaction patterns such as sales receipts, supplier payments, bank charges, loan repayments, inter-account transfers, refunds, and owner withdrawals. It then converts those source transactions into draft journal entries with the appropriate account allocations.
The important part is not generation - it is validation.
Every journal entry must 通过 strict accounting guardrails:
- 借方 must equal 贷方
- Every transaction must balance
- Each entry requires a meaningful description
- 置信度 scores should flag entries that need human review
This approach does not replace accountants. It removes repetitive bookkeeping work while keeping the 财务 professional in control of every final recognition decision.
I see journal entry automation as the most practical starting point for AI in SME accounting. Once clean, validated journal entries exist, the 一般 Ledger, 试算平衡ance, 利润 & Loss, and 资产负债表 become structured outputs - not manual reconstruction projects.
构建 the foundation first. Everything else follows.
